The Vintage Toy Box Returns Policy

Thank you for shopping with The Vintage Toy Box. We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase, whether it was made in our bricks-and-mortar store, within Dirty Janes Canberra, or through our online platform. To ensure a smooth and hassle-free returns process, we have developed the following returns policy:


General Returns Guidelines

Returns Window: You may return items within 14 days of the purchase date for a full refund. Please note that this policy applies to both in-store and online purchases.

Condition of Items: All returned items must be in their original condition, unused, and with all the original packaging and tags intact. We cannot accept returns for items that show signs of wear, damage, or missing parts.

In-Store Returns

Proof of Purchase: For in-store returns, please present your original receipt or proof of purchase to the front desk at Dirty Janes Canberra.

Refund Method: Refunds for in-store purchases will be issued in the same form of payment used during the initial purchase.

Online Returns

Initiate Return: To initiate an online return, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your order. We will guide you through the return process.

Return Shipping: Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective or was incorrectly shipped by The Vintage Toy Box. We suggest that you send your item back with parcel tracking, (this should not cost you extra).

Refund Process: Once we receive the returned item and verify its condition, we will process the refund to your original payment method within 7 business days.


Returns for Defective or Damaged Items

Inspect Upon Receipt: Please inspect all items upon receipt. If you receive a defective or damaged product, contact us immediately with photo evidence of the issue.

Return Instructions: We will provide return instructions for defective or damaged items. We will cover the return shipping costs in such cases. We suggest that you send your item back with parcel tracking, (this should not cost you extra).


Non-Returnable Items

Certain items are non-returnable for hygiene and safety reasons. These items include but are not limited to opened puzzles, and craft kits.

We also do not accept general returns for reduced to clear and sale items.


Exchange

Online orders: If you prefer to exchange an item for a different one, you may return the item following our return policy guidelines and then place a new order for the preferred item.

In-store purchases: If you prefer to exchange an item for a different one, you may visit the front desk at Dirty Janes Canberra with the original receipt or proof of purchase, where staff can assist you in finding a suitable replacement from our shop (Store 531).


Gift Returns

Gift recipients may return items following the same policy as long as they have the gift receipt or other proof of purchase.
